Mason,
You're four months old--that's a third of a year!
You're growing like crazy. At your four-month checkup, you weighed 16 pounds, three ounces, which fell in the 75th-90th percentile range. Your height has shot up. The nurse measured you at 26.5 inches, which means you've grown three inches in two months. You're now at the 95th percentile for height. Maybe you will end up being tall like Uncle Luke!
Except for some minor skin issues, you checked out just fine at your appointment. You are big and healthy. And because you're so big and healthy, the doctor wants us to hold off starting solids with you for another two months. You still watch every bite we take and beg for scraps on occasion; holding you off may be tough, so it's a good thing you like your mama's milk.
You did a great job with your second round of vaccinations. Again, you slurped down the oral vaccine. After the first shot, you were so bold as to laugh in the nurse's face. The nurse shot you again, with a bigger needle this time, and you howled and needed your mama. Be careful, Sweetie. Cockiness will always catch up to you.
Happy four months, Mason. Daddy and I love you!
XOXO,
Mommy

three month sticker
Mason,
You're three months old!
The two pictures of you smiling both came out blurry, but they're still cute.
I have no idea how much you weigh or how tall you are because you didn't visit the pediatrician this month.
I know that you're heavy, and lugging you, and your stuff, around is keeping me in shape.
Today's photo shoot was special because Daddy was home. You loved it!
Thanks for being such a good sport, Sweetie!
Love,
Mommy

two month sticker
Mason,
You're two months old!
Daddy and I barely remember your newborn days.
Forget Cooper. I found something else to better document your growth each month: the duckie sleeper you wore home from the hospital. I have a picture of you in it at two days and one month old, and now you next to it at two months old.
Yep, you've outgrown it! You wore it longer than I expected you to. Today, you weigh 13 pounds, six ounces (90th percentile again!) and you're 23.5 inches long (75th-90th percentile). You're healthy! And we're incredibly thankful.
You were a brave boy during your first round of vaccinations. You slurped down the oral vaccine like it was candy--you never turn down anything to eat! And you only howled for a moment during the second shot--I was able to soothe you pretty quickly.
Do you know how many pictures I have to take to get a few decent ones to post on this blog? At least 50. What did people do before digital cameras?
Daddy and I love you, Sweetie! It's been a blissful two months!
XOXO,
Mommy
